A Fundraising Party for Forge Project

Hudson, NY

Let’s celebrate the change of seasons in the Mahicannituck [Hudson River] Valley!

Artist Jeffrey Gibson is hosting a fundraiser for Forge Project at his barn in Hudson, NY. Jeffrey has been involved with Forge Project since its inception and currently serves on our Indigenous Steering Council (ISC). In its third year as an independent nonprofit, Forge Project continues to be a truly unique model for Native cultural leadership.

To secure its future, Forge needs more supporters like our co-host Gavin Berger: vibrant donors who believe in Native self-determination. By purchasing a ticket for two guests at $2,500, you directly invest in building Native futures through the knowledge sharing, education, language regeneration, wealth redistribution, and Indigenous governance that are at the core of our framework.

About the Event

The special evening will feature a conversation between artist Jeffrey Gibson (Mississippi Band of Choctaw and Cherokee)  and Candice Hopkins (Carcross/Tagish First Nation), Executive Director & Chief Curator of Forge Project, a performance by percussionist and author Luis Chavez, music from HEAVY PLEASURE (DJ), and delicious food from Talbott & Arding.

In addition, all ticket holders are also invited to join us at 2pm at Forge Project when Candice Hopkins will lead a special tour of Forge’s residence, including the two buildings designed by Ai Weiwei, our premier collection of contemporary Native art stewarded by Forge, and the 38-acre remediated meadow.
